When you think of business hairstyles, you probably don’t think of braids. These are more likely to be associated with children. Usually reserved for little girls, or so people think. But braids can look neat and presentable. For this article, I went looking for the best-braided hairstyles for work.

I am a fan of the bun. They are simple to make and always look neat. But braids combined with a bun, well that’s even more fun. In the video below you can see how to make a creative hairstyle with two half braids and a bun. Not suitable for the days when you have to look super neat, but certainly nice for those who can wear something a little different at work. These are only suitable for ladies with longer hair.

Braid with elastics

Okay, braiding sounds easy. But that’s not always the case. Therefore, it is much easier to braid with thin rubber bands. The strands are less likely to come loose while creating your hairstyle and stay in place longer. In the video below you can see how you can create a braid that also makes your hair look a lot thicker. And another advantage: you can do this hairstyle with shoulder-length hair. It also looks very chic.

Horizontal braid

The same method with the rubber bands can also be applied to horizontal braids. This requires a little more eye for detail, you have to look carefully to see if your braid is in the right place and also stays in place while pulling the strands. But it is neat and chic, that’s for sure.
