Uzbekistan Airways reveals new cabin crew uniforms for 2026

Uzbekistan Airways uniforms 2026 mark a clear shift in the airline’s visual identity. Uzbekistan Airways has unveiled new cabin crew uniforms, even though the previous set was only six years old. The airline chose to introduce a completely new look, defined by new colours, fresh prints and refined details. In my view, it is a major improvement over the old uniforms. In this article, I show what has changed and explain why I am such a fan of the new design.

Let’s first take a look at the uniform the airline launched in February 2020. At the time, the cabin crew wore a colour combination of dark aquamarine and terracotta. Apart from a subtle print in the scarf, the uniforms featured few striking patterns or details.

The men wore a rather plain dark grey suit with a waistcoat and tie, finished with a dark aquamarine accent. As expected, the pilots wore a standard dark blue pilot uniform.

To mark the thirty-fourth anniversary of Uzbekistan Airways, the airline introduced a new uniform. Unfortunately, no official press photos have been released yet. Instead, the airline shared a video, which you can watch below. I will discuss the new uniforms using screenshots from that video.

The video opens with the old uniforms, followed by the same group of models wearing the new designs. The comparison is powerful, as it immediately shows how significant the change is.

Where the women previously wore plain uniforms, the designers have now embraced colour, prints and layered details. Regular cabin crew wear a dark blue suit, with the colour symbolising the sky. Senior cabin crew wear a uniform in the same style but in a deep marsala red tone. According to the airline, this colour represents a modern look. Both uniforms also feature a soft pink shade, which creates visual harmony across the collection.

At the request of the flight attendants, nude tights have been replaced with black ones. This makes sense, as black tights look more refined and are easier to combine. Finding tights that truly match your skin tone is not as simple as it sounds.

The men’s uniform may appear understated, but it fits perfectly with the women’s designs. The cabin crew wear the same dark blue tone, combined with a white shirt and a red tie.

Jackets for Uzbekistan Airways cabin crew

To ensure comfort in different seasons, the airline provides both a summer jacket and a winter coat. These outerwear pieces match the uniforms seamlessly in colour and style.

The new uniforms are stunning

The new uniforms will be rolled out gradually in the second quarter of 2026. As such, I can imagine this being a welcome change for the cabin crew. For the first time, a cardigan is included as part of the uniform set, and according to the airline, the new uniforms meet all modern requirements. Although it has not specified what that entails exactly, this usually implies the use of more sustainable materials as well as improved comfort.

That said, when it comes to modern requirements, it is notable that the video only shows women wearing heels. At a time when more and more airlines, such as KLM, Bangkok Airways and even Japan Airlines, are introducing sneakers, Uzbekistan Airways appears to be moving in the opposite direction. In my view, a subtle black sneaker would not have detracted from the overall look and instead would have made the uniforms far more comfortable for female crew members.

Ultimately, that is the only drawback I can identify as an outsider. Overall, the uniforms look elegant, refined and contemporary. Moreover, the combination of prints and colours feels distinctive without becoming excessive, which is no small achievement. Chapeau.

Greetings,

Aileen
