Do you want to wear unusual socks to work for once, but have no idea how to go about it? Do you like wearing prints, but are afraid it might be too loud for the office? Or do you want to wear suspenders for once, but are worried it might make you look too formal? This, and more, I’ll discuss in this article in which I show you my office outfits from April 2025.

Mixing Prints
Mixing prints isn’t always easy. When I combine prints, like in the video above with a tie and a blouse, I always make sure that the colors go together. They don’t have to be exactly the same, but at least one color should appear in both prints. I also try to make combinations where one print is more subtle than the other. For example, you can see that the tie only has a few repeating images, while the blouse has a fine striped pattern. This helps prevent the outfit from looking too busy.
Suspenders that aren’t too formal
People often associate suspenders with very formal outfits like suits or festive clothing worn at weddings, for example. But suspenders don’t always have to be super formal or dressy. I’ve been wearing them for a few years now and have found that you can also pair them just fine with jeans, chinos, or even a T-shirt. My favorite suspenders are always the ones with a print—especially because the print immediately gives the outfit a playful look. In the video above, you can see how I wear a pair of suspenders with a floral pattern that matches the color of my hair and pants. Because the contrast isn’t as strong—like with black suspenders and a white blouse, for instance—it looks a lot less businesslike right away.
Accessories and suspenders
Something I rarely see is suspenders being combined with other accessories. But I personally think this can go together just fine. Since suspenders stand out quite a bit, I usually choose just one additional statement accessory. So either a necklace or a pair of earrings. If I wear both a necklace and earrings with my suspenders, I make sure that one of the two accessories is subtle. Think small earrings paired with a chunkier necklace, or the other way around.
Matching socks
Speaking of combining—how do you combine socks? With neutral socks, it’s not that hard. I often wear black socks with black shoes, and try to do the same with brown ones. But when your socks stand out a bit more, it’s fun when they match the rest of your outfit. Personally, I always try to keep my socks plain. I already wear so many prints and colors that otherwise it becomes a bit too much. In the outfit above, you can see how I matched the socks with the bird print on my blouse. Because the brown shoes match the suspenders, the colors come together nicely again and again.
Jumpsuit at work
The jumpsuit has been one of the trickiest clothing items for the workplace for years. I often hear women say they’re unsure whether to wear it in a professional setting. Of course, it depends on the model, but definitely also on the way you style it. If you’re worried it’s a bit too casual, you can dress it up by wearing it with formal shoes, for example. Also pay attention to details like makeup, your hairstyle, and accessories. When the rest of your look is polished, your jumpsuit will also come across as more refined.
