It’s a collaboration we didn’t see coming, but one we really needed. I’m talking about the collection from Dickies with Harley-Davidson. Two iconic brands coming together to create a workwear line specifically for motorcycle enthusiasts – both for men and women. In this article, I’ll tell you all about it.

Dickies launches collection with Harley-Davidson
Under the name Born to be Alive, which seems to be a reference to the global hit from 1979, the two brands are launching a special collection. The classic Dickies items were used as the foundation for this collection. For example, the Eisenhower jacket (see the photo above) has been customized with a special logo on the back.
But it’s not just a logo slapped on the clothing. This is real workwear, designed with the necessary functionalities. The jacket is made from heat-insulating material, so you’ll stay warm while on the bike. Plus, the adjustable clips at the waist help prevent the wind from getting under the jacket.
The pants are made from a stain- and wrinkle-resistant fabric, with extra reinforced seams. Specifically designed for motorcyclists, the pants feature a snap-back pocket to prevent items from falling out while riding and a higher waistline for added comfort.

Dickies x Harley-Davidson for women too
The women’s collection isn’t just a unisex line; it has its own tailored fit. Women can choose from a tank top, two different pants, a blouse, a jacket, two T-shirts, and a cap. Just like the men’s collection, the colors chosen are black, orange, and white.

A great initiative
This is a great example of a collaboration that’s not only logical but also well-executed. I often see projects where workwear brands collaborate with other companies, but it usually falls short. Sometimes it’s nothing more than just putting a logo on a piece of clothing, making it nothing more than merchandise.
Dickies and Harley-Davidson have created a solid combination with Born to be Alive, blending a tough look with the functionality needed for riders. Of course, the collection may not be suitable for every motorcyclist, but they’ve made a good effort to cater to the target audience. Well done!
The clothing is available for purchase via harley-davidson.com, dickies.com, and Harley-Davidson dealers. Prices range from $35 for a tank top to $150 for a work jacket.
Greetings,
Aileen
